Galerie du Génie, EDITH, 6 Edith Cavell Street, Port Louis is an absolute gem of a space, part of a historic infrastructure dating back to the 18th century.

MAMA JAZ chose this venue for its geographical convenience, production compatibility, grounding magnetism and precious as sweet silence.

EDITH, within which Galerie du Génie stands, is a wide old town inner yard renovated to modern standards and minimalist aesthetics. It acts as a public space with restaurants, coffee shops and terraces.

Seating Type: Grand Concerts have a free seating policy; no reserved seat; first come first seated except for K R I, will not be a seated event.
A wristband will be provided in exchange of purchase or ticket at the entrance to the venue.  The wristband will enable access to the venue.

• Access to the events on the premises mentioned above is subject to the following general terms, notices and conditions and any purchase as access to any event implies their de facto understanding:
• General terms, notices and conditions of admission.
• Keep calm, respect silence and all living things. Any inappropriate, violent, discriminatory, or disruptive behavior will result in expulsion. We will refuse entry or expulse from premises any person whose behavior is deemed being inappropriate or in an advanced state of intoxication.
• Do not damage nor displace any property.
• Climbing trees, structures and fences are prohibited.
• Clean after yourselves, no wastes, use bins.
• No animals are allowed on premises.
• You will be filmed and photographed by media and hosts for non commercial promotional exploitation.
• Children must be accompanied and supervised by responsible parties at all times; It is the responsibility of any parent or responsible party to ensure supervision, control and to take responsibility in case of any infringement to the general terms, notices and conditions here.
• No food or drinks allowed in the concert/performance venue.
• No commercial trade, hawking, sample distribution or activity at all, unless within MAMA JAZ management can exist on site.
• You may enter any event once, any exit is final. Please understand that we observe this rule to protect our commercial partnerships. Further, unless there is any infringement to the general terms, notices and conditions listed here, purchase of a ticket for re-access is possible at the price on the day.
• You are responsible for yourselves and your belongings; we are not liable for any injury or theft. Purchase and attendance is at your own risk even if we will do our utmost to provide a safe environment; therefore, you bear all liability, legal, moral and responsibility, for any accident or injury occurring during any event on our premises. We will provide due assistance in any case through transportation and first aid protocol.
• If you do not feel well or witness anything suspicious, unlawful, discomforting, in breach of the general terms, notices and conditions listed here or if you feel your safety is at risk, alert the nearest MAMA JAZ or EDITH staff, site manager or security person for assistance.
• Any person purchasing or holding a MAMA KOMBO PAK or a ticket for an event confirms being in full knowledge of the general terms, notices and conditions listed here. These general terms, notices and conditions may be modified at any time.
• The purchase of the MAMA KOMBO PAK is final and non-refundable: no exchanges or refunds will be provided. This is so as the package is not compartmentalised conventionally but designed as a bulk. We will nonetheless log any discomfort or dissatisfaction thoroughly to make our services better in the future; If circumstances, after review, are sensibly pointing to any fault from our side, even if we do not bear any liability, we will provide an official apology as a testament of good faith.
